My Rotator Cuff Testimony

My name is Dorothy Robertson. I live in Toledo, Ohio. Last year at the London International Convention in August, I took a very hard fall and tore my rotator cuff. I had taken a bottle of Osteokenetics (now Joint Health Complex) with me so I started taking 6 a day. After the week in London, my sister and I traveled on to Scotland for another week.

When I returned home 2 weeks later, I immediately went to my family doctor who took an x-ray, and upon seeing the results, sent me to an Orthopedic Specialist, who ordered an MRI. He told me that I had waited too long because it was more than just a little tear that they could have easily repaired...my rotator cuff had torn completely off. He said he didn't know what to do as there was nothing to attach it to (bone on bone, nonrepairable).

I continued taking my 6 Osteokentics a day. By the time they arranged all of my appointments and the MRI was completed, it was the 2nd of October. When I went back to the Orthopedic Surgeon, he was in awe of the difficult movements I could make with my arm (circles, reaching up, arms behind me, etc.). Even the Sports Doctor said he was seeing it with his eyes but he still couldn't believe it! Even so, I asked if I would ever be able to lay on my right side again (I sleep on my right side); they said NO, they were sorry to say that would not be a possibility. I refused to accept this, continued to take my 6 Osteokenetics (plus all my other supplements of course).

It is now May and while I am still not 100%, I am definitely 75 to 80% improved and CAN lay on my right side! I am confident that with time and the 6 Osteokenetics a day, I will be completely O.K. Actually, I am thinking of increasing it to 8 a day as I heard our President, Bob Schultz, say he is taking 10 a day. Perhaps this will speed my recovery even more.

Hope this helps you because I have heard so many people say that even with the surgery and rehab exercises, they were still in some pain. I have NO pain and am improving daily. This is my right shoulder and I am right handed. I have been able to do housework, wash walls, etc. with some limitations. I have been in Shaklee 30 years and this is just one of several personal "miracles" that I have experienced with the Shaklee supplements. I knew Dr. Shaklee and continue to thank him in my prayers for starting this wonderful company that has been a true blessing to so many people!
